Boxing
The QDG Boxing Team has gone from
strength to strength this year. Bouncing
off the success of the previous year, the
QDG minted three wins at the converted
RAC Boxing Championship finals and
the team were crowned overall RAC
Champions.
The team consisted of Tpr Lawson
(Light Middleweight), LCpl Flood
McCann (Welterweight), Tpr Jeffery
(Cruiserweight) and their Coach SSgt
(SSI) George Parsons.
On prelim day Tpr Lawson lead the way
and was pitted against the HCR. A patient
but strong performance was delivered
over the three rounds, punishing his
opponent with calculated and hard shots
giving him a win by split points decision.
