  Training Wing
2023 was a busy year for the training wing, comprised of Training Officer SSgt Williams, TWWO SSgt Williams/Sgt Turner and a large hard-working team consisting of SSgt Williams RGSS, Sgt Turner DCC SNCO and Cpl Cope, Course Clerk/DMI JCNO.
Our first main task for 2023 was to give the wing a new lease of life, with the help of Tpr Watson (sorry mate) we managed to carry out all the little nifty jobs that normally get missed due to our extremely busy tempo. This much needed aid put us in a good place to facilitate the regiments training requirements. Our second main task was changing how we run internal pre-courses within the training wing. We get given guidance from the various training establishments but because we scream top third vibes we felt we could add value in order to increasethe pass rate of our soldiers. Later on in the year we would find out we were successful.
After already hitting some of our goals for the year, we set about aiding with the regiment’s various training exercises and operations, from helping B Sqn get ready for the blistering heat of Kuwait, assisting C Sqn to go rogue as enemy on SCORPION CYCLONE and aiding A Sqn to get ready for a very cold but rewarding time in Poland. The Training Wing also facilitates the various Jackal and Panther courses needed to keep the regiment mobile, with Cpl Cope in the commander’s seat doing a sterling job - he especially loves Panther.
That’s not all, because the training wing houses the regi- mental anti-tank SME and it was time we stepped up the Javelin training by loading the newest cadre with 60 kilos of battle weight and sending them on exercise in Spade Adam Training Area.
