Members of 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards Maj A. Purbrick, Capt R. Fulloway, Capt S. Upward, Lt H. Swailes, Lt F. Logan and Tpr L. Wellington were invited to compete at the Militaire Prestatietocht Te Paard (MPTTP) in the Netherlands.
The team competed against over 80 international military and police personnel on horseback, covering over 35km of the Harskamp training area and the Hoge Veluwe National Park; a unique experience usually off limits to horse riders. The team first started the event with a meet and greet Hawaiian themed BBQ and drinks where Capt Fulloway fully committed to the dress code with Hawaiian shirt, grass skirt and colourful Lei.
The main event consisted of multiple military challenges along the route where the team could put their knowl- edge to the test and earn points. Some challenges involved AFV recogni-
