Bannister. He called to tell her that two charity volunteers were coming to the site and suggested she meet them. If the woman was Melanie Cooper they would offer her short-term accommodation at Shatford Lodge on the edge of Rauston Quay. It was a special unit that housed homeless people who had got themselves into trouble. Unlike a hospital, residents had their own rooms and on arrival were assessed by a doctor. They could meet and attend group discussions with fellow residents. The downside of being in Shatford Lodge was that they couldn’t leave the building without permission.
When the volunteers arrived, Melanie agreed to go with them to the Lodge where Alan was waiting to speak to her. On arrival, she denied all knowledge of him and refused to speak. Meanwhile, the cabin and CCTV footage of Jake’s stay and activities were quickly removed from the site. The land would soon be flattened to make way for a new homeless complex.
