Moving Home
Declutter – decide whether you really need some of your belongings. You might be able to donate or sell what you no longer need.
Pack early – once you have a moving date start with the rooms you need least, packing one room at a time.
Secure your items – pick boxes based on weight and quantity of content. Pack boxes out with old newspapers if items
slide around. Always make sure to use enough tape on openings and corners.
Label – use markers to write the contents onto each box. Write on the sides where it will be more visible – it’s also a good idea to use different colours for different rooms.
Your essentials – pack items you use daily (such as a change of clothes and your toothbrush) into a separate bag that you can keep with you.
