What are the signs of heat stroke? • Panting • Drooling • Drowsiness • Collapse • Uncoordination
What can you do if worried your dog is showing signs of heat stroke?
• Move to a shaded area
• Immediately douse with cool (but not
cold) water
• Place wet towels over the dog
• Place the dog close to a fan
• Allow the dog to drink small quatities of
water
• Douse until breathing starts to settle,
but never to the point of shivering
• Take to a veterinary surgeon when safe
to travel
Foundation celebrations
St. Nicholas Church, Islip
St Nicholas Church offers a warm welcome to everyone to help celebrate the foundation of the church in the 12th century. Morning coffee and cream teas will be served on Friday July 6, Saturday July 7 from 10.00am -16.30pm and on Sunday from 12.30pm.
The church will be decorated with flowers on a theme of summer. The bell ringers are planning to offer visits to the bell tower and ringing demonstrations. The activities will conclude on Sunday evening with a songs of praise starting at 17.00pm for about 45 minutes. Please contact 01832733758 with requests to sing your favourite hymn.
