Thrapston Town Council introduces... Thrapston’s new Mayor, Councillor Craig Wheeler
Cllr. Wheeler was born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire in 1991 the middle one of three boys. His childhood fear of spiders continues to this day! Craig started his career as a Customer Service Assistant at One Stop and is now a Store Manager for Central England Co-op.
Craig became a Councillor in 2013 after being involved with the Town Council’s Youth Committee. His love and expertise of IT has led
to Craig having significant input to the Town Council’s IT infrastructure.
For his Mayoral year
Craig will be supporting Dementia UK as his given charity. Dementia UK provide Admiral Nurses who provide the specialist support that families need.
 It was whilst working at
the Co-op that he met and
fell in love with fellow worker
Lauren. They married 3 years
ago and have 2 lovely little
boys. Craig says the birth of his sons is his most treasured memory. He and Lauren are looking forward to taking their family to their favourite place, Disneyland Paris, later this year.
