The RAVC Association has a Branch known as the Melton Branch, which is based in Melton Mowbray. All those who have served in the RAVC are automatically life members of the association, and all those who have either served with the RAVC or are friends of the RAVC are also entitled to become members of the RAVC Association.
There is a ‘one off’ membership joining fee for those wishing to join. The Association Branch meets monthly, usually on the first Thursday evening of the month at the DATR WOs’ and Sgts’ Mess, courtesy of the Corps RSM.
Anyone wishing to join the Association or who would like to attend the monthly meeting are most welcomed.

Appeal
The Chairman RAVC Association recently wrote to 74 members and ex-members of the RAVC living in Melton Mowbray or in an LE postcode in an effort to promote attendance at Corps events and to encourage these members to attend the Association Branch’s monthly meeting at the WOs’ & Sgts’ Mess at the DATR, and only one response was received from these members or ex-members.
If you live in the Melton Mowbray area, please do make an effort to support the Association.
Chiron Calling
Chiron Calling can now be accessed on line, via the Association website. We are currently undergoing an exercise to reduce the number of hard copies being sent to all members, as this is proving costly with the increasing cost of postage. If you fail to receive the next copy of Chiron Calling, you are advised to visit the website to read the latest editions. See: ravc-association.org.
