SRA Lichfield Branch: Dedication to Sgt Tom Mason Vic Wiles
Sgt Tom Mason served with the South Staffordshire Regiment and the 1st Battalion, the Staffordshire Regiment. He was well known for his time in the Signals Platoon and being very good with young soldiers.
After leaving the Army he helped to form the Lichfield Branch of the Staffordshire Regiment Association, serving as the secretary for 40 years. At the same time he worked at the Regimental Museum in Lichfield.
In memory of his hard work and dedication with the Staffordshire Regiment Association, and for
his work throughout his Army career, the Lichfield Branch have erected a bench in his name at the Staffordshire Regimental Museum.

The SRACC have been really quiet during the first half of this year due to COVID restrictions.
Club rides have been difficult to facilitate, however smaller groups and Individual riders have continued to get out.
We had our first official club ride on 18 April of 2021 with approx.15 riders turning out on a 50mile route.
The next ride as a group was a great success when we had in excess of 30 riders turn up. The group included Brigadier Williams the Colonel of the Mercian Regiment.
The next ride was in Sept, which was the first time we wore our new kit.
The club has several future rides planned for 2022.
In Flanders Feld Sportive – Several members are signed up to this annual event which takes you past several CWGC Sites and rides through the Menin Gate.
In June 2022, the club is Intending to travel to the South of France to Ride up the famous Mt Ventoux. An Iconic Mountain claim made famous on the Tour De France.
Museum–Museum– In early planning, but the club intends to ride to each of the Mercian Antecedent Regimental Museums over a 2-day period approximately 250 miles in distance.
