ROTARY CLUB
Community support
Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbours, friends, leaders, and problem- solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
In response to the deepening humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine, The Rotary Foundation has set up a Disaster Response Fund and is coordinating with partners and regional leaders, exploring effective solutions to the increased humanitarian needs.
As a part of that global network, Oundle Rotary is playing its part and with generous donations from people in our community we have been able to -
• Send medical supplies and bedding.
• Buy a Shelter Box for a family of six
comprising of a tent and cooking equipment. • Send donations of money to the Rotary Clubs
of Ukraine and Poland.
Serving our local community is also very important to us.
In March, we were very pleased to send donations to our chosen charities for 2021/22 • Alzheimer’s Association
• The James Rutterford Trust
• Oundle 2nd Cubs
• Oundle First Responders
• Peterborough Salvation Army
Oundle Rotary are also supporting the Birch Tree Café at Easton on the Hill, which is new innovative café partly staffed by young adults with Down’s Syndrome set up to serve the local village community and its many visitors.
Oundle Rotary will have a stall at the Queen’s Jubilee Market in Oundle Town Centre on Saturday 4th June 2022. Please come and talk to us about who we are, what we do and what is involved in being a member of Oundle Rotary – we would love you to join us.
