We would like to advise that we have two positions that we are looking to fill at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in September.
Currently vacant, is the role of Webmaster which we are looking to fill plus we plan to create a new role of Social Media Officer at the AGM.

NATIONAL VEGETABLE SOCIETY
– SOCIAL MEDIA OFFICER
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed volunteer to help the NVS to continue to grow in its online reach. The role will involve maintaining a presence on social media, connecting with both our members and partners, and producing Social Media content.
The social media Officer will support the NVS Trustees to achieve the following key tasks:
• Managing NVS social media channels: • Facebook
• Twitter
• Creation and management of social media content.
• To proactively seek news stories, marketing
opportunities and events that build the profile of the
NVS.
• Engage with members to keep them updated on NVS
events.
• Research social media communication trends, best
practices, policies, procedures, and accessibility
• To build relationships with key partners
• The Officer may also develop, use, and implement
other new media as deemed appropriate.
Optional
• Attend NVS Trustee meetings as an observer and provide updates on social media
NATIONAL VEGETABLE SOCIETY – WEBMASTER
We are looking for a passionate and committed volunteer to help the NVS to continue to manage its website. The Webmaster will be the main Liaison person between the NVS and our website providers White Fuse.
It expected that the Webmaster will support the NVS Trustees to achieve the following key tasks:
• Managing the NVS website’s appearance, member access rights, and navigation.
• Creating, editing, and publishing content on the website, either independently or with other members.
• Ensuring the website is up to date and functioning correctly, e.g., installing updates, fixing bugs and errors with support from our website providers White Fuse
• Member support, e.g., troubleshooting any issues that users may be experiencing.
• Analysing traffic through the site
Optional
• Attend NVS Trustee meetings as an observer and provide updates on the website.
Also, a reminder, we are also still looking for a Trophy Secretary the role is currently kindly being temporarily filled by Mark Hall FNVS. This is only a small role and will not take much time.

NOTE 1 – Whilst the role of Treasurer is required to be voted on for a period of 3 years, Jean Forrester has informed the Trustees that she is looking to retire from this role at the 2024 AGM to provide time for succession planning.
NOTE 2 – Both Michelle and Chris were co-opted in to their respective roles by the Trustees in October 2022, however these are required to be formally ratified at this meeting.
