ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Titchmarsh 10k
Following a disrupted few years due to COVID and other unforeseen circumstances, we are delighted to bring back the ever-popular Titchmarsh 3km Fun Run and 10km Road Race on Sunday 12th May 2024 for the 25th year. This highly popular event helps to fundraise for the Titchmarsh Playing Fields Association, allowing us to maintain our football pitches, village play area and pavilion/ function room. With an out-and-back course on roads closed to through traffic all set in the stunning, undulating East Northamptonshire countryside, this event has something for everyone. Whether you are a fun runner or more serious about running, we can offer you a Run Britain Licenced event, UK Athletics certified course (course certificate 21/375)
and we will even guarantee fantastic weather (subject to availability)! Both races will have official chip timing by Sublime Timing.
Starting at 10am, the 3km Fun Run is great for all the family (children aged 8 and over
can run unaccompanied) and attracts a large field of entrants. The 10km Road Race starts
at 11am and has a minimum entry age of 15. Registration is open now through our website
– this is the only way to register for either race; there will be no on-the-day entries accepted this year. Entries will close at 6pm on Saturday 11th May with race bibs available for collection from
9am on race day.
The Titchmarsh Playing Fields Association
is once again organising these races and, along with our army of volunteers, look forward to giving you a warm welcome into our charming village. There is free car parking on the playing fields at the end of Dryden’s Close (NN14 3DD) along with ample toilet and changing facilities and a bag drop area. Race bibs will be available from the Clubroom on the High Street just
up from the start and finish line (alongside
The Wheatsheaf Pub). Refreshments will be available at several locations. There will be water stations along the route and a ‘tail-end’ vehicle will ensure that no-one is left behind!
Please note that, due to road closures for the safety of our competitors, access to Titchmarsh on the day will only be from the A605 (Thrapston-Oundle road). It will not be possible to enter Titchmarsh directly from the A14 at Junction 14 or from the direction of Clopton.
