The RSYC Winter Series is the last full race series of the year before Christmas.Two races a day were scheduled for each of the four Sundays in October from 6th–27th.
As might be expected, the weather can be quite variable and in 2019 we lost races three and four on Sunday 13th to strong winds.The weather was variable for the six races on the other three days, but competition was stiff between six boats in Class One and four boats in Class Two.
The Series opened in moderate south westerly conditions with races one and two being raced from the Netley shore. Races five and six saw a light northerly breeze with The Hound based on the Fawley shore near Lains lake buoy. Races seven and eight on the 27th saw a similar light NNW breeze
