Oundle Library will be focussing on Sustainability and Climate Change during this year’s Green Libraries Week, which runs 2nd - 8th October. Throughout the week there will be displays and activities promoting what you can do to reduce your environmental impact and support biodiversity. Keep an eye on local notice boards and Oundle Library’s social media for the full programme.
Recycling collections. A further £65, raised through the Terracycle used dental products collections, has been distributed to the Friends of Oundle Library and Thrapston Library, Oundle Food Bank and Oundle First Responders.
Used blister packs can also now be recycled in boxes sited beside the dental product boxes in the Co-op and Oundle Library. Thrapston Library also receives dental products.
Emergency Bleed Control Kit installed
An Emergency Bleed Control Kit has been installed outside Queen Victoria Hall on West Street. The Bleed Kit contains specialist equipment to help stem extreme blood loss before the ambulance crews arrive, giving casualties the best possible chance of survival.
