Chairman’s Report
This is my last report as Chairman and Mayor of Thrapston Town Council. It has been an amazing privilege to serve the Community that has been my home for 30 years. There is no easy way to ‘sign off ’.
The cultivation and nurturing of a caring and loving community, takes time. At the very heart of all that we are and do is love. Our community is made up of individuals wanting to flourish and have a fulfilled life for themselves and their families. The act of serving others enables us to think outside ourselves, not being pre-occupied with oneself and one’s ego. We need each other, today, tomorrow and into the future, just
as our ancestors needed to pull together in times of crisis.
We are interdependent on each other; affirming one’s sense of being and belonging. Life goes on; the sun rises in the morning and sets at night. When we are attuned to and in harmony with the cycle of nature, we are no longer bystanders and observers, but playing our part in where we belong.
Thank you for the support, encouragement

and forbearance during the last 2 years. It has sometimes been a very rocky road, but the journey has been life affirming. It has all been worthwhile, an amazing experience.
‘Signing off ’
Kind regards
Karen Draycott
