Scouts
On 15th February 8 Scouts from 2nd Thrapston attended the Northampton Scuba School to have a Scuba dive session. Once they changed into their swimwear they were kitted out with their wetsuits. In the water they were given their air tanks and masks, and after instructions on how to use them, they began to dive under the water. Once they were comfortable with the equipment they did a few games.
After an hour and a half, they took off their air tanks and left the water. The Scuba School then presented each Scout with a certificate for their achievement.
Another activity they learned was the correct way to do wood whittling.

OnarrivalontheSaturdayevening, they settled into their slumber quarters and then went

Then time to settle down to sleep ready for the next day’s activity. On waking on the Sunday, they had breakfast and then had their first craft workshop. Just before Gulliver’s was opened to the public, they watched the opening ceremony. They then spent the rest of the day going round the park, with a short break at 12 for a packed lunch, provided by Gulliver’s.
Cubs
The Cubs have been busy learning how to do first aid. They have also been learning how to build electronic circuits and trying to light a small bulb using only lemons and copper wire.
