the background busy at her job, and I was busy at mine, but suddenly, we were talking more and more, sharing our worries, talking about her cancer and about her treatments. Through it all, I found my sister again; I got to know her all over again which has been wonderful.
But, and before I get all Mills & Boon about it, I can tell you we have had some incredible laughs along the way, mainly about bodily functions!
When I look back over this time,
and when Tubby invited me to write a
page (or two) for her book, I honestly
convinced myself I couldn’t write
and then I began thinking about her
treatments etc. and thought the public should be made aware of the drain on the NHS she has been! The cost of all the operations, the pills, potions and lotions will have cost thousands of pounds, but I have to say, in all honesty, she was worth every penny. (This was an ongoing joke we always used to share in all the months of her treatment. I even
