Here is a brief resumé of more things people did:
Companies who nominated us as their Charity for the year: Bookers, Creative Tops, RS Components, Sainsburys, Waitrose (where we loved to help them with bag packing) and where we received donations from their instore token schemes), JHAI – a building firm who sold pink hard hats and where we went along to Trade Fairs at Birmingham and London to sell them!, several Rotary Clubs, Inner Wheel Clubs, different Mayors having Crazy Hats as their nominated charity for their year in Office, RAOB groups, Masonic Lodges across the county – and Golf Clubs.
Here I must tell you about Rushden Golf Club where a different men’s captain chose Crazy Hats for three consecutive years and raised incredible amounts of money – breast cancer featuring so heavily in their lives. We went to a lot of golf days all over the County when companies who supported us organised their own golf days – Anstees, Phil Harris Accountants, Meadows Accountants to name but a few...
We had legacies left to us
People knitted for us, Josie, Elsie, Anne, Jean and others – all having such wonderful stores to tell!
Many people made items for us to sell – Helen and friends from Daventry, Sue Osborne.
We had the support of the County Cricket Club, Northampton Saints Rugby Club and the Cobblers Football Team...
