The charity continued to earn the majority of its income through run- ning events at RMAS. These ranged from the high profile, such as a training session for executives from Deloitte, and the Berkshire Army Benevolent Fund Big Curry Lunch, to guided tours for a dozen people.
the army’s contemporary music groups plays at each event not only providing superb music but showcasing the talents of army musicians to a new generation of young officers. Thanks to Hannah’s hard work the events have been a major success.
Our website is also growing, and the leadership and current affairs library now has over 130 arti- cles ranging from the role of the Lance Corporal, to the latest situation in the South China Sea.
Reunions continue to be popular with 36 run in 2018. These ranged from 10-year to 70-year events with the majority of members choosing to obtain a copy of their Sandhurst report. Most of these were written in the days when cadets
In total, the charity ran 234 events, up 66 from 2017, and created sufficient revenue to employ a second specialist events manager. Our mem- bership continues to grow and now stands at 4800 with 716 Officer Cadets, serving officers and retired officers signing up during the year.
A new, and major commitment for The Trust has been the running of the three Commissioning Balls. Catering for up to 1500 people, the event features a giant marquee on New College square with live music, sideshows and catering. One of

There has also been an increase in all
female reunions, from the days when the women were grouped in platoons, a policy that seems very dated in today’s culture of inte- grated training.
The 70-year reunion commemorated 70 years since the commissioning of intakes 1, 1a and 2. Usually, reunions are organised by the intake themselves but, as a tribute to our oldest alumni The Trust organised this event internally. As members of the first courses to train at the newly formed Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, these cadets commissioned in 1948. All now aged 90, these incredible gentlemen travelled to the
