Exercise MACLEAN’S PLUNGE
In mid-April a group of seven Officer Cadets embarked on a sub-aqua expedition to Cyprus, with the aim of delivering three different
qualifications and pushing ourselves beyond the normal mental and physical limits to which we are exposed.

Over a five-day
period, five Officer
Cadets were awarded PADI Open Water Diver, one achieved BSAC Sports Diver, and one gained PADI Tech 40. As part of their experi- ence, the group conducted two dives on the world-famous Zenobia wreck and multiple dives at various points along the coastline. Each team member was pushed into their ‘stretch zone’ on multiple occasions, and all came away having had an excellent time and gaining a new hobby. The nature of scuba diving is that it’s an expen- sive activity, and all are grateful to the Sandhurst Trust for their funding, which helped make the expedition so much more affordable.
