WHAT’S ON
Getting out and about...
THRAPSTON COUNTRY DANCERS
Our small group is still active despite all the problems with Covid etc. We aim to provide a selection of dances old and new which everyone can manage. Nothing complicated. We are a very sociable and friendly group and beginners are very welcome. We meet at St James church hall on the first and third Wednesday monthly. Do come along for lighthearted exercise to music. Contact is George 01933 622827.
Corby Male Voice Choir does its bit for Ukraine
Corby Male Voice Choir, of which five residents of Thrapston are members, recently held a concert to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. The profit from concert ticket sales, raffle ticket sales, and sales of glasses of wine and biscuits, raised a magnificent total of just over £2,700.
The picture below shows members of the choir displaying a presentation cheque to publicise this magnificent effort. If any other men in Thrapston and the surrounding towns and villages would like to join Corby MVC, they would be made to feel most welcome. The choir rehearses every Thursday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm at St Peter and Andrew church hall on Beanfield Avenue, Corby, NN18 0EH. For further information about the choir, please visit our website: www.corbymalevoicechoir.co.uk
