SSgt (SSI) Zoe Leeming is a natural aspiring Pro body builder, who competes in the British Natural Bodybuilding Federation (BNBF). As well as Bodybuilding, she currently
serves in the British Army as a Physical Training Instructor (Royal Army Physical Training Corps RAPTC). With 10 year’s training and dedication towards Female bodybuilding, she has nally chosen to compete in the sport for the rst time this year. Starting in Apr 16, Zoe began her journey at the West Midlands Quali ers in her chosen Federation BNBF. With her pure determination, she secured her deserved place in the British Finals (Perth). With 6 weeks preparation, consisting of a strict diet regime she was ready for the British nals. Placing 3rd overall in the women’s Physique Category. This quali ed her for the DFAC World Championships Miami (Oct 16). Her most up to date achievement was placing 2nd in the World (Armature Physique Category). This was her toughest challenge yet and she competed against the top natural bodybuilders, in the Women’s Amateur Physique category.
SSgt Zoe Lemming’s Comments
Having trained for many years, I then decided to take up the sport in Apr 16. Having a coach as a British Champion (Vet), I could not have received better advice on my diet and training plan. With pure determination, my target was to hit a required weight. This included a clean and strict diet plan, which also included a tough training regime. This took its toll but having received my entry into the British nals, it then made me more focused than ever.
Having received such good comments from the British Finals (3rd place) and a ticket to the Worlds Finals, I could not of been better prepped. This was a new journey in my life and I am proud to announce that I now hold 2nd best women’s physique in the world.
The best thing about this Sport is that it is drug test free. Prior to all competitions, all athletes receive a Polygraph test (lie detector),
urine and blood sample. Other federations do not have this policy, which is why BNBF has the best natural athletes in Britain and the World.
Having achieved what I have in my rst season, I will now take this onto my next goal and compete for World champion, in Oct 17.

SSGT RICHARDSON CITATION, SHE RECEIVED THE GOC ARTD COMMENDATION
AFC(H) PASS OFF PARADE THU 23 FEB
SSgt (SSI) S Richardson RAPTC is employed as the Sports and Skills Co-ord at AFC(H). Her primary role in this stand-alone appointment has been the coordination of
the largest sports package within ITG, control of a £250,000.00 budget, advising key College Of cers on the conduct and training schedules for their speci c sports and the coordination of the College Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, where during her time at the College she has overseen the training of over 1500 Junior Soldiers who have achieved the Bronze Award. This role requires her to have an integral understanding of both PD and nance policy, the latter which she has conducted to the highest of standards, is not normally associated with an RAPTC SNCO appointment.
AFC(H) were recently crowned UK(N) and Army Minor Unit Sports Champions for the second year in succession, noting that as a minor unit AFC(H) would have nished 14th if included in the Army wide Major Unit standings and this is testament to the hard work and commitment she applies to her duties. Her ruthless ef ciency in ensuring Sports Of cers from across the college carry out their duties to the very highest standards, ensuring the highest quality of training and competition is provided for both Junior Soldiers and Permanent Staff has paid dividends. She is an intelligent and perceptive individual who has gained enormous respect across the college for both herself and the RAPTC.
Not content with the achievements within the unit, SSgt Richardson is also the UK(N) Female Focus for Sport and organised a very successful UK(N) Female Festival of Sports in 2015. She has represented both the College and the RAPTC at Netball and additionally she was at the forefront in coordinating the inaugural inter College Sports Competition with Welbeck College an event so successful it has become an annual event.
She has repeatedly strived for, set and maintained the highest standards and she develops those around her to achieve their highest potential. She sets an example of self-motivation and professionalism and is inspirational in her approach to her daily duties. Not only a rst class Sport Co-ord who inspires real con dence, she is an exemplary SSgt who epitomises all that is best in the values and standards of the British Army.
In short she is loyal, highly dependable and motivated in all that she does. Her sel ess commitment, integrity and leadership make her a rst class role model for all at the Army Foundation College (Harrogate) and she has made an outstanding impact with both her work ethic and support for others, and receives my unequivocal recommendation for this citation and further recognition for her efforts
