by facilitating, entertaining and organising sport for over 650 SP. All three events were a massive success and it is down to the professionalism, due diligence and positive attitude of the RAPTCIs.
More recently many of the Bde RAPTCIs volunteered to organise a Community Engagement physical challenge afternoon. 7 Inf Bde has been engaging with an Afro-Caribbean group founded in Nottingham called Radical Youth (RY), through God’s Vineyard Ministries (GVM). RY are a church based young people’s organisation with over 5,000 members spread across 25 universities throughout the UK (and growing), with the age

demographic 90% of which are aged 18-21. The RAPTCIs entertained 600 youths putting them through their paces with various PT type events against the clock. The event proved to be excellent. SSgt Wilson was the IC and presented the prizes with the GOC Regional Command.
Part of my role here at 7 Inf Bde is to act as the Secretary for the Desert Rats Association. Part of the role involves organising a Memorial Day in June and a Remembrance Parade in November.
