                                NORTH ATLANTIC FISHING COMPANY
Welton Waters Camping/Waterborne 4-Day Stay
Once again, North Atlantic Fishing paid for our cadets to attend Welton Waters for 4 days of camping and waterborne activities. The staff there organised the activities and the catering was excellent, with meals delivered 3 times a day. The company also paid for 12 cadets to sail on the Tall Ships where they had a memorable time. We are very grateful for their generosity and interest in the cadets.
TS Scarborough’s Sea Cadet Summer Camp: A Splash of Adventure
By Lieutenant Gareth Davies
This year, 40 spirited cadets, accompanied by dedicated staff, embarked on a journey filled with excitement and personal growth.
The azure waters of Scarborough Sea Cadet Boat station and campsite at North Yorkshire Water Park played host to a series of exhilarating waterborne activities. The cadets discovered the art of sailing, mastering the elements and fostering a profound sense of teamwork. Windsurfing challenged them to harness the wind’s raw power, while rowing and kayaking offered a taste of serene exploration along the coastline.
Beyond the water’s edge, the cadets
faced thrilling challenges. They conquered the Aqua Park’s intricate obstacles, soaring through the skies on the zipline, and tested their mettle on the low rope course at North Yorkshire Water Park. Each triumph marked a newfound level of confidence and resilience.
This camp wasn’t just about adventure; it was about achievement. They diligently worked toward valuable qualifications that will serve as stepping stones to future opportunities. Their commitment and accomplishments showcased the depth of character nurtured within the Sea Cadet programme
But the experience went beyond certificates and challenges. Campfires beneath a starlit sky, shared laughter, and the forging of enduring friendships were equally important aspects of this unforgettable summer. These young cadets discovered the true essence of camaraderie.
A heartfelt salute goes to the dedicated staff members whose unwavering commitment and expertise ensured a safe experience for all involved.
TS Scarborough’s Sea Cadet Summer Camp was a resounding success, a testament to the spirit of adventure, personal growth, and lifelong friendships that define the Sea Cadet Corps
