MAINPRIZE OFFSHORE'S GENEROUS DONATION
The summer kicked off on a high note as Mainprize Offshore, a local Scarborough-based company, extended their generosity with a remarkable donation of £15,000. This substantial contribution is earmarked for the repair and renovation of the unit's Grade 2 listed building. The Commanding Officer and Unit Chairman expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Bob, Sharon, and the entire Mainprize Offshore team for their unwavering support.

GENEROUS DONATIONS AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT SHINE BRIGHT FOR SCARBOROUGH SEA CADET UNIT
The Scarborough Sea Cadet Unit is delighted to share the heartwarming success of its fundraising efforts over the summer, which saw tremendous support from the community and local businesses.
SCARBOROUGH SEAFEST TRIUMPH
The Scarborough Sea Cadet Unit continued to make waves within the community as they successfully hosted the Scarborough Seafest. The Parents and Friends group, along with the Chairman, organized a bottle tombola and book sales, resulting in an impressive fundraising total of £1,681.15. This achievement demonstrates the unit's dedication and the community's enthusiasm for its mission.
ALAN FANE'S GENEROSITY
The spirit of giving continued with Mr. Alan Fane, the President of the Yorkshire and District Association Institute of Ratings and Valuations. In May, during their annual dinner, Mr. Fane raised funds for the unit, and his dedication culminated in a visit to the Boat Station in September to present a generous cheque of £735.
The Scarborough Sea Cadet Unit would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all individuals, businesses, and community members who played a pivotal role in making this summer's fundraising efforts a resounding success. Your unwavering support ensures the preservation of the unit's historic building and enables it to continue its valuable work in the community.
This summer showcased the power of collaboration and the generosity of spirit within the Scarborough community, and the Scarborough Sea Cadet Unit looks forward to building on this momentum as it continues its mission to empower the youth and contribute positively to the local community. THE EPIC CHARITY BIKE RIDE
The summer months witnessed an awe-inspiring charity bike ride that brought together cyclists from Acaster
Malbis to Scarborough, covering a challenging distance
of approximately 97 kilometres. Led by Colin Dale and supported by Tony and Sarah at the Scarborough Leeds Arms, the Ship Inn Marauding Rider cyclists showcased their resilience. The ride not only tested their endurance but also served a noble cause, with the proceeds benefiting three deserving charities: Scarborough Sea Cadets, 'Love for Lilly' of York, and The St Leonard’s Hospice, York. The community rallied behind them, cheering them in and celebrating their achievement with refreshing beverages.
