group with Romanian and US engineers; in addition to our now standard ISTAR team. It included live and blank training up to company level in the woods and rolling countryside of Transylvania. We were also able to demonstrate the company’s capabilities in a Romanian land component repower demonstration in front of their Chief of Defence Staff and Defence Minister. The trip nally ended with a Brigade FTX that had the company exercising its defensive capabilities.
The A Coy platoons have now moved to reinforce B and C Company Groups on their future tasks - no doubt the A Coy ri emen will prove their abilities across the Battalion.
This year there has been a lot of change in A Company Group. We said goodbye to Serjeant Major Nunn who is off to instruct on assault pioneer courses, Lt Henry Wootton to Pirbright, CSjt Adams on promotion to 38 Brigade and Sjts Copeland on promotion to CSjt and Sullivan to ITC Catterick. We welcomed Capt Tom Quayle as 2IC, Serjeant Major Scott and CSjt Reeves to company HQ. Lt Angus O’Brien, 2Lt Matt Dryburgh, Sjt De Lange, Sjt Comerford and Sjt Lyon also joined the company.
Sp overall, this has been another ful lling and inter- esting year for A Company Group. We look forward to what the future holds for the Coy’s ri emen with B and C Coy groups and to remaining adaptable to the challenges that we face.
