PULSE FITNESS SUPPORTS THE NEW BRITISH ARMED FORCES MODERN APPROACH TO TRAINING
Aglobal leader in cutting-edge leisure solutions, The Pulse Group provides a wide range of diverse services through its four separate divisions: ‘Fitness’, ‘Design & Build’, ‘Soccer’ and ‘Solutions’.
Built on a foundation of over 39 years’ experience, we have worked in partnership with over 30,000 leisure facilities in 31 countries and 6 continents. From luxury exclusive health clubs with class-leading facilities, to military, community and educational establishments, we provide a complete diverse service; from the initial design and build, planning and fit-out through to long-term bespoke business and technical support.
With an award-winning portfolio of over 150 pieces of state-of- the-art, premium equipment, Pulse Fitness is unique in its position as the only company to research, design, develop and build equipment in the UK. Constantly evolving, we take the best of the innovative ideas from around the world and incorporate these into our unique user-friendly product designs. Alongside a wealth of scientific knowledge, rigorous testing and emphasis on quality, we are committed to driving the future of the industry forward and delivering a tailored solution to meet the needs of everyone involved.
Since April 2013 Pulse Fitness has been privileged to work alongside the British Armed Forces as one of the official suppliers to the MOD and MOJ. During this time, Pulse Fitness has provided fitness equipment to all corners of the globe where the British Armed Forces are based - to either support training or operational commitments. With an award-winning range which incorporates cardio, resistance, functional kit, free weights and plate loaded equipment, Pulse Fitness is the obvious choice for durable, functional and customisable kit. We are also a leading supplier of IFI accredited equipment, meaning all kit meets IFI Equipment Design Standards to be fully inclusive; enabling both disabled and non-disabled people to benefit from a full body, cardiovascular and resistance-based workout. This is currently in situ at the National Rehabilitation Centre at Stanford Hall, near Loughborough.
With the change particularly across the British Army towards strength and conditioning (S&C), Pulse Fitness has always been at the forefront to deliver this and it is why we, as an organisation, can assist in the new S&C appearance. Pulse Fitness boasts a variety of PTE to suit all dimensions and personal preferences. We are continually developing to match the military needs, and totally understand the new testing requirements. We appreciate and understand the Army Physical Training System (APTS) and how soldiers are trained to be physically fit, strong and mobile to accommodate the different types of testing. This has been highlighted recently with supplying APTS equipment as part of Program THOR; supplying to over 30+ regular Army units across the UK. In conjunction with renewing the leasing contract for a further four years with the RAF, supplying to many Royal Navy sites and ships as well as Royal Marine units, this just shows the flexibility, resources and efficiency of the Pulse Fitness equipment and the mark it is making across the British Armed Forces.
Pulse Fitness not only supports the armed forces through procurement of their fitness equipment but is heavily involved in all aspects of sponsorship for many key events. Most recently we supported and sponsored the Infantry Training Centre and 4 SCOTS Army Boxing events, with Team GB boxing at this event, as well as supporting Tidworth Garrison with their Inter Regimental boxing event. We are also supporting and assisting Army Rugby as well as sponsoring the Army Training Units for rowing the Atlantic in December 2019.
“As a British based company that supplies British built equipment, we are proud to support the British Armed Forces,” said Graham ‘Chalky’ White, National Accounts Manager, Government Services at Pulse Fitness. Graham recently retired from the Army after 30 years and he understands fully the training ethos, relationships with the RAPTC and others, as well as the requirements to enable what needs to be delivered to the Armed Forces to meet their training and operational commitments and deployments. Combined with our ability to modify equipment to meet the enhanced needs of the British Armed Forces, as well as the many recent installations, orders and deliveries across the Tri Services, this makes Pulse Fitness the ideal supplier to the MOD.
