conditions I have played in since I took to the pitch as a spotty kid in 1996. It quickly turned into a ball up the shirt style of game and when the Referee blew the whistle you couldn’t tell who was on what team. The game was played in a great spirit and we all left the pitch smiling. The RAPTC won the xture 19-5.
The North East association dinner was enjoyed by the whole team and proved to be a great success. It gave us the opportunity to not only play in front of some retired Ex serving RAPTC members but also gave us the opportunity to drink and socialise amongst some RAPTC legends.

DO YOU WANT TO
REPRESENT THE RAPTC
To those aspiring Rugby Players of all ability levels who fancy the challenge that Rugby brings please do not hesitate to contact SSgt (SSI) Luke Brimble on Mil: 94342 2748 /Civ: 01980650748 94631 or email on 1RHA- OHQBTY-QMSI@mod.uk. All standards and abilities welcomed.
In October 2015, the Female RAPTC Netball Team entered into the Army Inter Corps Netball Championships, held at the Aldershot Garrison Sport Centre over two days. The
Championships were organised by both Mr Keith Donkin and Mrs Claire Murton from the Army Sports Control Board. Both Keith and Claire have developed and increased the participation within the sport considerably over the past two years and this year had an impressive 18 teams enter. However, this also meant the competition was going to be ercer than ever.
Thankfully and after only managing to get the ladies together once a year, the team played to an exceptional high standard and the RAPTC Netball Team successfully made it through to the nals. Even though we showed outstanding determination unfortunately, the ladies were overpowered by the opponent’s
abundance of reserves and fresh legs and consequently nished Runners-up within their respective division. After two days of what was essentially an extended bleep test, the ladies undeniably demonstrated to all the competitors that physical tness and determination goes a very long way.
Furthermore, I would like to welcome all the newly badged female RAPTCI’s who attended the Championships; it is always a pleasure to have new players!
For all aspiring RAPTC potential netball players, regardless of ability, please don’t hesitate to contact SSgt (SSI) Victoria Blackburn on 94261 2365 or civil 01276 412365 or email on RMAS-PT-SYNDICATEB-LDR@ mod.uk.
