As the end draws near for me to leave the Service I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people that have worked for or supported me during my career without your assistance and guidance I would never have achieved the success I had

SO2 PT in Army HQ has a reputation as being one of the busier SO2 posts in the RAPTC. So when the phone call came from the SMAA giving me the news I was going I knew
I was facing a challenging two years. Whilst I was looking forward to being at the centre of policy making I knew I had big boots to ll. Refreshingly, on arrival I soon discovered the work life balance was spot on and I had an experienced team around me to keep me on the straight and narrow. Policy needs updating every few years and my rst task was AGAI Vol 1 Ch 7 – Physical Training which has grown markedly since I rst joined the RAPTC. Single policy documents are linked to numerous other documents, some of which are out of date and most of which you don’t control; that’s where the fun starts. A simple task can soon turn into an epic. Hopefully though, by the time this year’s MBS goes to print I will have completed the update and be working on the next one on my list. One of the new initiatives in 2016 has been British Army Warrior Fitness (BAWF).
BAWF has been created by the RAPTC to promote and encourage current military tness in accordance with AGAI Vol 1 Ch 7. The competition and training is delivered at Unit and Regional levels before culminating with an Army nal. BAWF captures all the very
