Day 2: WW1 day studying Gen Allenby’s assault on the Ottoman Empire from Egypt through the Gaza Strip. Visit included a Remembrance Service at

Day 5: The Lebanese Border Incursions from 1982 – 2006. Visit included observing UN outposts between Israel and Lebanon.
Each of the participants were given a topic to discuss and given an opportunity to explore the political, military or economic consequences of the battles and con icts. This gave the group the evidence they required to formulate their own opinions on who actually was the aggressor or the defender. This was my rst Battle eld Study in 22 years’ Service and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Should you be lucky enough to be offered an opportunity to deploy on a Battle eld Tour or Leadership Study, grasp it with both hands.
