to deliver some great training achieving our mandated percentages. Maj (MAA) Gresty was very supportive in our plan to climb Mt Kenya and advised us on the accent and decent we managed to climb this with a team of 6 soldiers. Our overall AT Statistics was 70% gaining Type 2 multi activity from within Gren Gds BG.
On return from Kenya the unit continued a busy schedule with state ceremonial and trooping the colour for the Queen’s Birthday parade.
I was delighted to know that I had won the Bredin Trophy for 2015 (The RAPTCI who has contributed the most enhancing the prestige of the Corps) and look forward to receiving the trophy in May 16.
The unit had a very busy year competing in sport at the LONDIST competitions, excelling in most and becoming champions in swimming, athletics, cross country, 6-aside football and hockey. On top of this we were also successful in becoming the Army Cricket Champions. The  nal piece of the puzzle was winning the GOC’s Cup competition demonstrating some fantastic team skills. This was great timing winning this trophy

prior to the Battalion joining 11X at the early part of 2016.
Besides the busy year I have managed to squeeze in another London marathon with a  nishing time of 3hrs:29mins I am hoping to beat that time in this year’s VLM. I also gained some AT instructional courses such as Level 2 MTB and a long awaited SL1 course in Stubai. I am looking forward to teaching The Queens Company on Ex COCKNEY PISTE in

Val Thorens this coming Feb before I am posted.
My time has been served well and I have enjoyed every moment as the QMSI for the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards. I have received my assignment order and move to 1 RSME in Chatham on 11 Apr 2016. I have had a great experience working in LONDIST over the past 7 years and would like to thank the RAPTC fraternity for their help and support.
