The regular members will always bump their head
on the invisible glass ceiling that is there for all non-
family members. The problem with a glass ceiling is you
can’t see if from down below. Whenever you look up, you
think, the sky is the limit. But, you would be wrong.
When the senior pastor dies, his or her family will
continue to own and run their family dynasty. And, you
and the other congregates will continue to pay all of the
bills and, to build and expand it.
To some of you, as we write about these kinds of
things in this book, we don’t sound like real people of
God to you… do we? But, we are able to say these things…
because we ARE real people of God.
Nowhere outside of the church world, is this even
remotely possible for you, or anyone to honestly and
legitimately build a personal empire for you and your
family, at the monetary expense of the people who work
for the family—for free!
Whether in the church or in corporate America,
when solid business minds stop for a moment to actually
think about this kind of a deal, they are forced to realize
that this really doesn’t make good “business sense.” Yet
it continues to happen in the church across America, and
around the world.
Pastors are concentrating more on building their
own personal empires, than they are on building God’s
Kingdom. Their plan is to gather as many people together
as possible. This is accomplished by way of larger buildings,
multiple services, proselytizing, and modern technology.
Members, visitors and supporters represent dollars.
This is how high profile preachers keep score. It’s all
