DAB+ radios were introduced in all new cars since 2016 and have been compulsory (in
            "greater Europe") since 2020.

            Radio fans are now considering:

            - purchasing a DAB+ radio (expect a cost of CHF 30, or even more for sophisticated
            appliances)

            - purchasing a DAB+ converter for a car radio (from CHF 40)

            - purchasing an internet radio (which uses the local wireless network to receive
programmes), which could also be used on a normal PC or smartphone.

Otherwise, for those living in Switzerland, Swisscom offers a wide range of radio
stations that you can listen to with your television.

There are many suppliers for such equipment, and national shops such as
INTERDISCOUNT, MEDIAMARKT (shop or online sales) can advise you. So, for
Christmas, the perfect present for grandma is a new compatible radio and a few
hours of training to get it up and running.

This also concerns the border area, which has a large number of SSR listeners.

This change will further isolate the most disadvantaged and those least able to
            use the new technologies....
