Trust, and we read that Turkmenistan came up
with a proposal to host a conference on peace
and trust in 2025. Could you tell us about it?
The designation of 2025 as the International
Year of Peace and Trust by the United Nations
General Assembly reflects the global commit-
ment to fostering a culture of dialogue, mutual
understanding, and cooperation. This initiative
aligns closely with Turkmenistan’s long-stand-
ing policy of neutrality and its active promotion
of peace and trust as core principles of interna-
tional relations.
Turkmenistan’s proposal to host a conference on
peace and trust in 2025 underscores our coun-
try’s dedication to these ideals. As a neutral
state recognized by the UN, Turkmenistan has
consistently provided platforms for dialogue,
including initiatives facilitated through the UN

Central Asia. Hosting this conference would re-
inforce Turkmenistan’s role as a global advocate
for peace and multilateral cooperation.
The conference aims to bring together member
states, international organizations, and experts
to discuss practical measures for advancing the
goals of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
