The Project
We are currently preparing to establish a new intensive care unit at Soroka with an area of
2,000 square meters, to be located above the Trauma Unit in the Emergency Department
in close proximity to the operating rooms.
The new unit will include 12 new patient bays that allow for advanced treatment options,
among them two negative pressure isolation rooms for patients with various bacterial
and viral infections, including COVID-19, that prevent the disease from spreading and
infecting other patients and staff members.
These additional beds will significantly alleviate the load we are currently facing and
provide our patients who require intensive care with optimal chances of survival and
rehabilitation.
The cost of the project is $13 million.
Amount requested for naming: $5,000,000
Prominent donor recognition will be
provided at the new ICU.
The donor will be listed on the Soroka
Donors’ Wall of Honor.
The donor will be our honored guest at
a dignified public dedication ceremony.
