10.3 Verb + Infinitive
Subject Verb Infinitive
I learned to speak German.
They wanted to live in Mexico.
We need to buy a new computer.
1. An infinitive is the base form of the verb + to. They decided to take the bus.
An infinitive acts like a noun. It is often the I want to go to the gym after work.
