PRONUNCIATION Can and Can’t
In affirmative statements and questions, the /]/ sound in can is reduced to a schwa (/"/)
sound. In negative statements and short answers, the /]/ sound is fully pronounced.
Examples:

I can hear you. I /M"P/ hear you. Can you see me? /M"P/ you see me?
I can’t see you. I /M]PV/ see you. Yes, I can. Yes, I /M]P/.
A Listen to these students. Write can or can’t.
