ProNUNCIatIoN Could You and Would You
When could or would comes before you, the final -d blends with the y- sound in you,
                           resulting in a softer /d</ sound: /‘kud<u/ and /‘wud<u/.
                           Examples:
              CD3-39
Could you tell me the time? Would you wait a moment?
Could you speak a little slower, please? Would you explain this word, please?

A Complete the polite requests with could or would. Use the ideas in the imperative sentences
              CD3-40
in parentheses. Then listen and check your answers.
