Nicolas Appert Changed the Way People Eat
At the end of the eighteenth century, the French general Napoleon

Bonaparte needed help. He needed to provide healthy food (1) to / for his

soldiers. Often food would go bad before it reached them. The French

the government. Then in 1809, the French chef Nicolas Appert showed
