Club Membership

" I wasn't aware until recently of the Directory of British
Associations which lists about 7,200 British groups-trades and

professional organizations and many other affinity groups. I don't

know if all the car clubs in Britain are included but at one stage I
had a list of about 450 of them, from which I extracted the details

of other AMOCs--the American Motorcycle and the Aberdeen Mini
Owners' Clubs weren't included.

If you are interested in almost anything, it seems, there is a group

to join which shares your enthusiasm. I've often said that if two
people talk about something and get joined by a third they have a John Porter,

reason to form a Club to talk about it. If a fourth joins, then they
