It was Chip who changed my original color from white body and lime green interior to candy
apple red and black interior. (See what I mean? I didn't look British at all.)

Read continued to drive me around town and to play golf while
Chip was overseas for three years. When Chip returned I took him
on his first date with Barbara Mortimore in August, 1964. (That
was nice but, little did I know where all this was going)

Then, Chip left again but returned a year later to start college.
He also started a restoration of me and changed my color to a
more respectable green but then he abandoned me due to
both lack of spare time and money. He also married that
Barbara I mentioned in 1965 and started having children.

(What was he thinking? He knows I only have two seats!)
