MyDashWallet was quietly compromised for two months - Dash’s answer to MyEtherWallet has
been hacked. The Dash-focused crypto wallet, MyDashWallet, reportedly succumbed to a data
breach two months ago—exposing users’ private keys–but has only just been reported. This means
the hacker is able to steal any funds from the wallets of those affected. In a forum post, Dash’s
marketing manager Michael Seitz, said the hacker was able to steal the private keys of anyone who
used the wallet between May 13 and July 12. “Anyone using mydashwallet.org in that timeframe
should assume their private keys are known by the hacker and should immediately move any
balances out of that wallet.” On the plus side, Seitz claims that anyone who used a hardware wallet
to store their funds are unaffected by the hack.

Data of 'nearly all adults' in Bulgaria stolen - Personal data belonging to millions of Bulgarians has
been stolen in a cyber-attack on the country's tax agency. According to a local cyber-security
researcher, most adults in the country of seven million people are likely to have had some data
compromised. Bulgarian authorities have arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of involvement in
the attack. Among the stolen data were names, addresses and even some details of personal
income, local media reported. The tax agency now faces a fine of up to 20 million euros (£18m), a
representative of the Commission for Personal Data Protection said.

Russia's Secret Intelligence Agency Hacked: 'Largest Data Breach In Its History‘ - Red faces in
Moscow this weekend, with the news that hackers have successfully targeted FSB—Russia's Federal
Security Service. The hackers managed to steal 7.5 terabytes of data from a major contractor,
exposing secret FSB projects to de-anonymize Tor browsing, scrape social media, and help the state
split its internet off from the rest of the world. The data was passed to mainstream media outlets for
publishing. A week ago, on July 13, a hacking group under the name 0v1ru$ that had reportedly
breached SyTech, a major FSB contractor working on a range of live and exploratory internet
projects, left a smiling Yoba Face on SyTech's homepage alongside pictures purporting to showcase
the breach. 0v1ru$ had passed the data itself to the larger hacking group Digital Revolution, which
shared the files with various media outlets and the headlines with Twitter—taunting FSB that the
agency should maybe rename one of its breached activities "Project Collander.“
