BARREL MANUFACTURING

A one of its kind in the India, this plant has the capability to manufacture
ready to fit, machined barrels across variants. This infrastructure duly aided
by our R&D, engineering, metallurgical knowledge with advanced
metallurgical analysis and testing facilities cutting-edge capabilities to our
barrel manufacturing technology. Our barrel manufacturing capability and
technology were aptly validated when on 24 Jun 2015, we became the first
and only Indian company to have indigenously developed and
manufactured a fully finished 155mm/52calibre barrel which also has been
successfully proof tested. This barrel was made under order from DRDO for
their Futuristic Towed Gun Program called as Advanced Towed Artillery Gun
System (ATAGS) and was proof fired at Central Proof Establishment, Itarsi.
Some of the barrels successfully produced at our Pune Plant are as follows:
a. 155mm/52 caliber (ATAGS and Bharat-52)
b. 155mm/39 caliber (Bharat ULH)
c. 155mm/45 caliber 24
