 Voluntary Accident Insurance In Action
Harvey’s son, Oliver, likes to play on the playground at school during lunch. One day
while playing outside, Oliver slipped and fell off one the structures, causing him to land directly on his ankle. His father took him to the local urgent care center, where the doctor ordered an x-ray and determined that Oliver had fractured his ankle. After putting his ankle in a cast and providing him with crutches to use, the doctor released him and referred him to his primary care physician for follow up treatment. Depending on their health insurance, Harvey’s out-of-pocket expenses could run into hundreds of dollars
for expenses like deductibles and co-payments. Reliance’s group accident insurance payments can be used to help cover these unexpected costs.
