Type of Activity: Weight Management / Weight Loss Duration: 4 Weeks

This challenge is designed to encourage weight maintenance during the holiday season.
Employees weigh themselves and track their weight on their own. Each week, they are introduced with
new ideas to help them with their weight loss, such as eating a healthy breakfast and exercising. The employer can provide more assistance by providing a scale on-site where employees can weigh themselves.

Responsibilities & Resources Needed
• Set the dates
• Market the event
• Register participants and hand out the weekly tracking sheets
• Launch the challenge with a kick-off event
• Keep participants motivated with weekly tips/ challenges (included in the toolkit)
• Determine if there will be an incentive • Optional Resources:
• On-site scale for employees to utilize
Prize Component Option
Participants contribute $10 into the prize fund at the start of the program. Participants that stay within +/- 2 lbs of their starting weight will share in a equal split of the prize fund. Participants that gained more than 2 lbs. do not qualify for prize fund share.
