Paid Time Off
In order to promote employees work-life balance, KIPP NYC provides a comprehensive paid time off program designed to give employees time away from work for rest and relaxation. KIPP NYC offers paid holidays, PTO and school breaks.
Direct Deposit
All employees are eligible to participate in Direct Deposit. Direct Deposit allows KIPP NYC to directly deposit your biweekly pay into your checking and/or savings account. Direct deposit is handled by the employee via the UKG portal. Each employee is granted access to update or change their direct deposit information. All changes take up to two pay periods to become effective.
Benefits of Direct Deposit:
• Peace of Mind: No worries about mail delays or having checks lost or stolen.
• Prompt Payment: Deposits are credited on payday.
• Convenience: No special trips to pick up and deposit
checks.
• Freedom: Payments are automatically deposited to
your account, even if you are traveling, on vacation, unable to get to the bank or ill. Payments can also be divided automatically among designated employee’s accounts.
• Savings: No check cashing fees. Many banks offer free checking and other incentives for employee using direct deposit because it saves them the cost of processing paper checks. Direct deposit can also help you avoid bouncing checks because the deposit and direct and on time.
• Timeliness: It saves you trips to the bank and helps you avoid long lines at tellers ATMs.
