Paperwork Deadlines, Entry Fees, and Other Costs
The Thoroughbred Makeover is a unique competition that requires several different entry forms throughout the year in order for management to promote and manage the logistics of such a large, multi-faceted event. This section lays out those forms, deadlines, what fees to expect, and when they’re due.

Trainer Application
December 1, 2019 - January 15, 2020
Acceptances announced February 15, 2020
Approves a Trainer to participate in the Thoroughbred Makeover. $300 entry fee is due with application submission.
Horse Registration Form
February 15 - July 31st, 2020
Enters an eligible horse into the Thoroughbred Makeo- ver with an approved Trainer. Horse registrations should be completed as soon as Trainers have ac- quired their horse(s). Train- ers may manage or change their entries throughout the year online in the Competi- tor Portal.
Final Entry Form
August 1-15, 2020
Finalizes the entry for Ken- tucky including discipline choices, jump heights, horse sale status, and sta- bling needs. Relevant fees are billed at this time.
Final Entry edits and Final Entry fees
Close September 15, 2020
Some selections on the Final Entry Form may be updated through this date, such as stabling needs, team members, and jump heights. Any open balances for Final Entry fees are also due on this date.
Late paperwork submissions or changes are only accepted under extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the RRP staff. The
