Innocent Prisoner

                                             by Bhavani Polimetla

        I am the innocent prisoner
Sitting on the death row Dear brothers and Dear Sisters
Don’t cry for me. As Jesus told

It’s my bad luck, I am in the seen Cry for yourself and cry for your families
It’s my bad luck, no one on my side Every one of us needs to face it
It’s my bad luck, I was born on this earth Sooner or later we are all going to die
It’s my bad luck, my family is struggling I don’t have fear to death
I am the innocent prisoner But my heart is crying for calling me a killer
        Sitting on the death row
                                                               Time is running
Half of the life spent in the world Life is ending

Rest of the life wasted behind the bars Going to wait in the heavens
Why they should hold me too long to judge To see you all once again
My heart is telling, I am the innocent
No heart is having ears to listen my plea
God, help me to convince the deaf
        I am the innocent prisoner
        Sitting on the death row

You have time to go to film
You have time to wait in the traffic
You have time in day-to-day life
        Can’t you spend few minutes?

To listen to my heart’s plea
Don’t shut the doors on my face
        I am the innocent prisoner
        Sitting on the death row

I didn’t prayed enough to come out
Hope God wants me to pray more
I don’t have time to pray enough

God, if you don’t have time to bring me out
At least come and pick me after my death
I can’t wait so long in my grave for you
