A Staff Development Program is designed in yearly basis as a blueprint

in the overall personnel development and enhancement with the end view of
developing staff skills, capabilities, knowledge and attitudes for quality service
delivery. The Program assures that the time committed to staff development
activities is properly utilized and ensures that the staff members have an equal
opportunity to develop and enhance and therefore contribute to the

effectiveness and efficiency in the delivery of quality library services to end
users. This presentation further shows the support of the administration with
regards to the welfare of the library personnel when it comes to personal and
professional development.

Guided by the Staff Development Plan, the librarian and staff

encouraged to pursue MLIS/PhD, attend seminars and workshops, and
benchmark with other colleges to adapt their good practices, compensation
benefits and incentives of the library staff and lastly, enjoyed the benefits of
free access to printed books and e-learning resources.
