Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Washington introduced occupational regulation
               bills.

               Executive Councillor – Edna Anderson presented her report located on pages 74-77.  She recognized
               State Society Honor Roll recipients and offered encouragement to the 6 states that didn’t make honor
               roll this year. Edna encouraged states to work together to hold joint meetings. Multi-state educational
               meetings offer unique opportunities to members with more diversity in speakers.

               Student Activities – Leann Bart directed members to her report on page 81.  She recognized the
               recipients of the Outstanding Student of the Year awards:

                   Medical Laboratory Technician – Brianna Valles from Southwest University, El Paso, TX

                   Medical Assistant – Angela Dixon from Bryan University, Springfield, MO

               Leann also recognized the winners of the Technical Writing Awards:

               Leann also announced the winners of the Student Bowl Challenge – Kirtland Community College from
               Grayling, Michigan.

               The Student Activities Committee met on July 2, 2019 @ 1:40pm and discussed issues that arose at the
               Student Bowl Challenge, which resulted in one team being disqualified. It was determined that
               instructors will not be allowed to be seated in the direct line of sight of the students. The committee will
               be working on additional questions to increase the data pool.

               Examinations, Qualifications and Standards (EQS) – Roxann Clifton, MT (OK) directed members to her
               report on pages 81-84.  She provided a brief overview of her report.  AMT administered nearly 19,000
               certification exams during 2018.  The CMAS committee had two members step down. New members
               have been appointed to the committee. Kathy Hardy, RMA (FL) accepted the position of Chair of this
               sub-committee.

               CASMET Liaison – Christopher Seay, MT (TN) reviewed his report located on pages 85 & 86.  He reported
               that Walter Parsons, MT (TN) presented CASMET with a personal gift of a Hp Computer (complete with
               the latest software) for secretarial use. Chris also reported that AMT is working with CASMET to create a
               new Letter of Agreement. The last such agreement was signed in 1989.
